Astro Your The Main Man.This could be real cool.I'd like to get in on a few conversations.

1 I would like to get in on the online van mag or a publication on doing a mag a few times a yr.

I think vannin.com is a great place and or showvans.com for a online mag.We have some vanners that like to write here I believe.

2 About Dogs Being loose and not leashed around others.

3 The kids are outta hand an need to be back at camp at a certain time.

4 To get more vanners to get out and let us be known.Public van show events,Fun raiser's to get us out in the public.Indoor shows over the cold months as well.We need to go back to our old roots.Like we were back in the Day.

This is just some things.

Todd, these are issues that need to be brought up by your Council Rep, I'm not a rep, vannin.com doesn't get that status because we don't meet the requirements. I know the NEVC is having a meeting today (I should be there, my club is hosting it, lol)so I hope you are able to make it voice your concerns.

I want to interject a couple of things here that has been said 101 times and this is on issues #2 and #3. Those are totally up to the Host Clubs. If you have a problem, take it to the Host Club. That has been the answer that has been given several times. Those two subjects have been discussed to death at C of C meetings and nothing changes. The answer is always the same.
At Nationals, there is no more Teen Curfew. As for the younger kids, that is up to the parents. It is funny how it is always the adults that complain about the kids when its the kids who should complain about the adults. Coming back to camp loud, drunk, and obnoxious. Maybe the drunks should have a curfew. The kids have brought it up. Now how would you feel about that? Kinda like what goes around comes around. Sad but true and maybe something to think about.

I think when parents stopped teaching their kids respect, we lost all chance of having them behave at truck-ins. Been to a mall lately? Or a restaurant? Or a school? Rules and curfews are only as good as the parents are that enforce them. If you pull in the gate and tell the kids that you are leaving Sunday at noon, you get the running maniacs. If you pull in the gate, set up camp as a family, and establish check in times and meal times and bed times, that is a whole different story. (Boy am I old!)

This is a REALLY cool idea!

I'm curious to see how the AV / USB converter holds up :-) I've been playing with a similar rig at home to digitize some VHS tapes...

I have 2, the first one I tried is also a TV tuner, its a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950q, ( got it, with a nice remote, TiVo software and 1 year subscription for $35.00!) but using it seems to but excessive strain on my laptop's resources, so I figured I would try one that was strictly A/V to USB, so I went with EasyCap DC60 which, so far, seems to work great!
