For many years we have used the NYS vendor information that was still on this 2012 year contract....This is no-longer the source that you need to get a permit..."Capt. Flaps, a vendor of military items at LMDW 2012 "gave me the update.....There is a phone number-requiring some navigation, that will provide info. The number is: (518) 485-2889....
There is also a website (www.OPAL.NY.GOV) that may be easier to navigate...Be advised though that in a recent conversation with Kurt Collis (Custom van.com) ( who will also be vending at LMDW) I learned that there is no easy way to get the permit earlier....until a month or so prior....It's confusing, but if you DON'T have a permit now it's time to start looking....Without a VALID permit you will not be allowed to set up and vend....The grounds people are very strict on this and WILL be checking your papers.....Don't forget the insurance info as well........
