I am planning on this as my 1st evant and was hoping to meet all of you there, I hope gas prices drop also. Good luck with that !! You are 8 hours closer than me and I have been saving gas cards for months !!

We are working on the planning portion of going. One way or the other we will be there. May just be on a shoestring budget. Also hoping that by vending we will be able to fund the trip as well.

It took me a bit over a year to save up enough money to go to Council of Councils this year. I knew I wasn't going to make the Nats this year...not a money issue, but a time issue....so I went to the C of C and I'm going to my first Lost Memorial Day Weekend evant!
I WILL be at the 41st Nats though!

Its early morning here so I hope my calculations are correct
Taking the van for a local run today.
Fuel tank capacity is 70 liters or 18.49 gallons
Premium fuel is about to rise for Easter but is currently
$A1.57 per liter or $A5.95 per gallon
$A5.95 = $US6.27
So one tank is 18.49 gallons x $6.20 = $US114.64
Our Van Nats next week is 3975km away or 8,000km (5,000 miles)return
Return Airfare to US Van Nats = $2500
I think we're going to come out in front by coming over to yours...
