I am NOT letting gas prices keep me home.It actually dropped 10 cents around here. I cant wait to see this van at the "Nationals" this year. Meeting you and your helpers will also be a big bonus.
There where three different guys running those pipes in out club at one time.(we are taking a short ride in the way back machine). There girl friends all had a burn on the back of there calf from those pipes. They will last longer if you just run them unhooked for show. You will be lucky to get two years out of them hooked up. Sorry not trying to pee on your parade.....

The interior looks Great. If you stuff a Bunch of grease in the inlet of the Pipes, it will coat the insides and help keep them from turning Blue,BUT Smoke like Crazy for awhile it will.

........Wookee The helpers wont be coming, just me and the wife. I did run the exhaust from opposite sides and back behind the crossmember to try and control heat, I am sure onece I get on a long run they will turn gold towards the front. Not really an issue cuz the van is not a show piece. 2 yrs, did the others just rust away, turn colors or just tired of the burns. I actually have another set in the garage that have some shipping damage that Fed Ex was supposed to pick up but have not yet (30 days).

No they don't turn blue.It is just the way they are constructed. They don't get a good chrome plating like they should. The constant road grime being thrown up on them getting baked in really shortens this style of side pipes life.Run them in the salt.....I won't go there. I had a set my self when Doug Thourley was making them. Never hooked them up ran the exaust out the side right behind them. Yes, that was my 1st and last Ford Van .......Wookee

If you decide you want to sell em let me know! Southbend sounds like a nice day trip.
