Summit racing cam, SAE straight 30 wieght and a tank full of 10% ethanol gas.
Has been winding out 5 grand first gear shift no for well over 5 years.
That cam is "Wookee tested tough".

Yes I do. 5 mph over the limit is my limit most of the time.

Seems like I read that there are only a couple of shops
that grind the cams for every name out there. They are ground
to certain cam card specs from each brand. Its the metal core of the cam that might make a difference. I would not be afraid
to buy any cam out there. Its all in the break in and not
firing the motor up with O oil pressure.

You are right Breaking in a cam is most important of all. Make sure all is good before you fire that engine for the first time. that first run time for the cam is important to the life of it.

We did old Silver early 1980's at 5:00 am in our old house and garage in town, open headers, God were we dumb back then...just begging for it, let the big dog eat.......woobahhhhhhhhh

Lol did the same thing with my brother's '67 Galaxie with a 390 breaking it in out in front of my folks' house in the suburban neighborhood around 4:00 in the morning. Not a lot of happy neighbors, lol.

Canton Racing Accusump Info

I know it doesn't add any HP or MPG, but if installed and used properly, an accusump (shown above)
will add considerable life to your engine, by feeding it pressurized oil before you start it.



I can't remember for sure, but when I put one in my 380SL, it think it had about 54,000 miles.
The odometer now shows 342,000 miles, and the car is on its 2nd transmission, but still has
the original, unrebuilt, engine (gas, not diesel). The filters, belts, plugs, wires, timing chain/
gears/guide plates, and water pump have all been replaced, (along with one valve damaged
during valve job), but all the other components are orignal.

The engine still makes plenty of power and I'm sure some credit for its longevity must go to
Mercedes, but I think the accusump might be able to double the engines life expectancy.
