why?.... if you really wanted to do something like this, just use 4 backup cameras and mount them on all 4 sides. Seems like a waste of money to me though.

I guess this is for people who find it easier to look away from the road and hit a button than to turn their head or look in the mirrors provided. Or maybe the visibility in that SUV/crossover is really so bad that four external cameras are needed.

I like it I want it. Why, you may ask? In case I have my curtains closed and want to make a quick getaway from the ghetto hood bad guys, they can shoot at the window all they want and never hit me because they can't see me!
Lastly cause I'm too damn lazy, then again i use my mirrors and, I dunno bout yall, I know where all 4 wheels and corners are at in my van anyways, I know I won't hit that post because my left foot is ON THE WHEEL WELL!. "flying by the seat of my pants"

dont you guys find it hard to get into a parking lot that just 3 foot longer than the van ?
especialy when the other cars are so small that you only see parts of their roof through your backdoor window, and not wide enough to be realy seen in the side mirrors.
maybe its because i dont have depth perception... (eye problem)

Couldn't agree more. You shouldn't drive a van if you can't use mirrors. The "gadgeteer" in me kinda likes it, though. I hooked up a rear cam to my aftermarket stereo, but mostly to keep an eye on a trailer. I can't see it if I'm going straight.

I think its useless though. I learned how to drive by looking in mirrors and out of my windows. Just something else to distract drivers. ........... ..
