Good luck with it. I have never had to do one on a Ford. I did one on a Caravan and could not believe how easy it was.

The switch on my Ford van isn't like the switches I have seen on Mopars. It isn't a switch like a doorjamb switch for the dome lights. It is some weird switch that is too hard to describe.

Thanks, but I think that is the switch that deactivates the cruise control when you step on the brakes. The brake light switch is farther up the brake pedal arm.

I had an old van, dont remember if it was a Ford or not, but it had that problem. I superglued 2 pennies to the contact point on the pedal and that fixed it straight away. a 2c fix!

Unfortunately, the brake switch on my Ford doesn't work like that.

That could be why I have to get on the brakes so much to get my cruise control to kick out. lol

I may have to adjust that.

I really should get this fixed since i now have about 1/2 pedal travel before the lights come on, and the brakes are definitely engaged before the lights come on. however, I just haven't found the time to mess with this.

If I figure this out I will post a little how-to.

I know the feeling,Work and stuff around the house keeps getting in the way lol Keep us posted
