Fellow 6ers,
For my two cents I've got a '75 GMC 250 with an Ak turbo kit, goes through a Magnaflow. I'm rather disappointed, it really doesn't sound nasty at all; until I take my foot out of it, then you know something was going on. I also like that little whine of the turbo when it starts up.

You need side pipes with that turbo and then she'll sing for you.

Turbo's don't need backpressure (after the turbo) so put a bigger exhaust on it and you'll hear her sing! smile

I always loved the sound of my 65 Econoline with a 200 swap, dual outlet header into a Dynomax 2.25 muffler. Sounded beautiful. And the V8 guys couldn't figure out why it sounded so mean.
