Get all the other things straightened out before you tackle the TPS. They don't fail that often. +1. I went through all sort of fits getting the old speed density system figured out on my 89 Ford. Vacuum hoses, fuel pressure, and O2 sensor are the first things to check/replace. Then I would check the MAP sensor. Vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks really affect this fuel injection system.

Cool, Its going over to my mechanic type guy tomorrow to put it on one of them fancy computers to tell me what its pissed about. Then on to find that torch and get the exhaust leak fixed.

Its going over to my mechanic type guy tomorrow to put it on one of them fancy computers to tell me what its pissed about. Not to beat a dead horse, but you can very easily run the on-board diagnostics and pull the trouble codes for free at home. HOW TO RUN A SELF-TESTTWO DIGIT TROUBLE CODESJust trying to save you some money....
