If you have the ribs like most do then you need and extra base of silicone with the seal. I started with a layer of the black tape style then added extra tube silicone in the ribs. The black automotive windshield kind worked the for me over the years as every one of my vans had a least one sunroof.
Today I just tracked down another brand new 20x37 sunroof for a vanner up here looking to replace his leaking one. If you keep looking they are out there.

I would get a new one and hope technology has improved. That is a bad lesson most people have learned over the years. NEVER cut holes in the top of your van...Sooner or later they leak.

I have a electric sunroof (3 months old) from Webasto, so top quality. I had sunroofs throughout my entire life, if done correctly, there are no issues (if you buy a brand name sunroof, not the cheap eBay ones).
Meant to drop it in the van, but the interior ceiling cover does not allow a roof installed, at least not sideways.
It is the biggest they built (have to look up dimensions), tinted glass (green), it tilts or opens completely (to the outside).
Of course complete with frame and control panel, so once you drop it in, it looks like factory (the frame below covers around the hole and tugs in the headliner.
Anybody interested, drop me a pm with email and I can send pictures. It is a great sunroof.
Greetings!

No, because I would have to sign up at yet another page to upload the pictures there, then post the link here bla bla bla.
I can email you the pictures, or post a link this evening where you can see a listing with pictures and measurements.
No, I had A-1 Auto install it as they do it all the time and give warranty. Well, mainly because I am not a "handy" person. I ran the electric to the ceiling though (did not want them to mess up all the little plastic pieces I had to take off).
Installation was simple, took about 2 hours, the headliner stays in, they just cut out the oval opening, sealed the metal, put the roof in, connected the wire, attached the frame at the bottom which tugged in the headliner and cut the fabric coming out the other end. Looked factory.
Our van has a plastic center piece running all the way from the front to the back of the van, consisting of only 2 pieces. So I would not only have to cut through the plastic trim, it would then stick out beyond the sunroof (as the sunroof is thin and the plastic trim thick). So you could see the cut lines, and nothing would line up.
Hope that helps. Will post the link to a listing this evening, okay?
Greetings!

How about that: I post a link to a listing which contains pictures and description.
And then I read about how to post pictures here. If I find out how and feel like it, I will do so. People asking nicely should be treated nicely.
Am just used to forum software which allows you to insert or attach a picture with a single click. This linking is way to inconvenient in my opinion.
So let me do this this evening and we go from there.
Greetings!

I am having issues with my internet provider, everything is slooooooow. Here is the re-posting on Craigslist, with pictures, dimensions, descripton. Hope that works for you. Let me know what you think. http://southbend.craigslist.org/pts/3078559208.html
