Ok I understand now.

In the US the red lenses operates as the tail light/brake light and turn signal. The clear lenses operates as the reverse lights.

As mine has been imported to UK it must have been modified with the reverse light being now used as the indicators.

And I have just checked and it is not a requirement for cars hear to have reverse lights so that explains it.

Pheeewwww that was confusing but thanks for the help guys.

i wonder if the remains of the wiring have been left form the switch that controlled the reverse lights, i could hook up my parking sensors to this if so..

Thanks Catfish would you believe its don’t 145,000 miles. Its in very good condition for that mileage. I'm guessing as it came from the USAF in Germany it has only been running about base all this time and serviced regularly.

Maintenance is the key. 145,000 is just getting started for the G30s. Most everything on them is Heavy Duty.

Frscke's our expert on the G30s. Search thru his posts for the mods he's made, good stuff there.
