so just got my Chevy G30 so be prepared for alot of stupid questions.
I went out this morning to fit revers parking sensors, could i find the revers light.....NO.
took the passenger side lights out the houseing so i could see them come on inside the van. Put the van in revers expecting to see one of these light - nothing
So my question is where is the reverse light and why isnt it coming on. The back of the van looks like this

1) OK so the van should have no rear indicators Yes?
2) on mine c) has an orange bulb installed and comes on when the indicators are on.
bit of background, i got this from the USAF in Germany (im in UK) so if 1) above is correct then i can only assume that the van has been modified for European driving to include rear indicators hence 2)
"The only silly question is the one you dont ask.." - very true man!!!!

Howdy from down south......... Normally the Chevy tail lights and brake lights are red as are the turn signals. They are the double element bulb. The brake lights and flashers (and turn signals) share the same element and the tail lights are the other element. In order to have orange flashing lights the back-up lights were, I'm guessing, rewired to operate as flashing indicators and orange bulbs installed. I've seen this on other convoy and critical response vehicles were they wanted emergency flashers and brake lights to operate independently. Airport based vehicles are sometimes wired this way as well.
Nice van BTW. It looks to be low mileage.
