Filling the grooves was a good idea. It also might help long-term with noise and condensation issues.

i made the floor even so it wouldn't flex by cutting strips of wood to place in the grooves. It provided good results actually. great Idea!!  1/4" mite work in that case...

So definitely basking in my proudest moment since purchasing the van  here it is installed-the caulking was crazy. the guy showed me some techniques to have a smooth transition but it was tough. it is in and sealed.   the next one to get fixed and then i can redo the floor and complete the interior for now. Shout out to my helper. He wants to do any everything he can.

I forget but was the sunroof always their? looks like the back of it was how mine ended up years ago.... cut this part out  And tacked this in....  Little bondo...  Wha laa

The van had the sunroofs when I purchased it. Gonna work on the back one today
