Hi all, nooobie here. I wanted your opinions on the last version of the Dodge ram van, I think introduced in '94 and ran for 10 years or so. They are priced cheaper than Chevy and Ford equivalents and usually that means stay away. Thoughts?

They are cheaper because they arent as "mainstream" i think.. I love my 90 dodge, ive had an 87 and a 79 years ago. Cant beat em!

I don't know..it's six of one, half-dozen of the other.

Priced cheaper? Not sure about that. I've seen some really cheaply priced Fords and GM vans for sale on Craigslist and I've seen some Dodges that are priced high (too high in some cases).

Personally I'm a Dodge guy. I find the Dodge vans fairly easy to work on and pretty reliable. The only negative thing off the top of my head is that their overdrive transmissions are a bit on the weak side, but then again some folks can get a couple hundred thousand miles out of an original transmission.

The 94-97 is probably my all out favorite bodystyle..I just like the lines. 98-03 had an elongated front end that I was never a big fan of, but as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

My favorite is also the 94-97, but i have a 74 b100 too and it will be my HotRod soon. If one we're to mould the frt bumper of the 98- 3's closer to the body, it wouldn't be nearly as Ugly, but the they do have some advantages too.

I love my dodges too, thinking about it now, the cheapest vans i have seen have been the Fords. My favorite body style(if you cant tell) is the 79-93. Close 2nd is the 94-97, but i like the 98-up dashes better.
