SILVESTRI, John (Flubbo) - Suddenly on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 57. Loving husband of Lori for 29 years. Cherished son of Ennia (Annie) Silvestri (the late Pasquale). Big brother of Frank (Sharon), Filomena Doucette (Paul) and Rita Denis (Roly). Loving uncle of Jessica, Paul, Mark, Melanie and Eric. John will be fondly remembered by Ercole DiPietro (Caron) and family, the late Larry Jewell (Dolores), Bryan Dunham and family, Ron and Diana Barnhart, Brent and Sherri Barnhart and goddaughter Kalyn Barnhart. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Broski and staff of the renal clinic and the staff of the 3 South Nephrology Unit for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place.

One of the mainstays at both Van Canada, and as an anchor of the Wrecking Crew, Canal City Vans Tug of war team......He left a lasting impression on all of us, that time will never dim......I was actually in Welland last night when I heard the sad news........Passed before his time, but probably has a Van and Car show organized from those that have pre-ceded us to the other side......Van in peace buddy, will catch you at the gate on the way in to the final run..My condolences to Lori and all his family and friends.....
