Hey i posted before, about my g20 van. Well hard wired 02 sensor, and reset codes. Now my issue is it starts up everytime, drive it into town, go into the store. I get done shopping it will fire up, then it will die out. Now if you get on the gas pumping it, it will stay running. If I dont it will just turn over, no spark. I basically have to let it sit for a lil bit, then it will fire right up. This happens about all the time. Now I fired it up first time last night, drove it about 300 yds and it died while driving. Very annoying.. Replaced fuel relay ... Repkaced fuel pump, and assembly, fuel filter Just had a brake job, I know that shouldnt have any effect. Also I noticed cruise is not working..vacuum issue I suspect.
I know this is something easy, I just dont know what...oh van had been sitting for about a year.

You've replaced fuel related items but you say it has no spark, check coil, cap and wires, and especially plugs. 92 should have a scanner port, might try getting a good scanner on it and see what the computer is telling.

After checking the ignition items check the EGR valve behind the TBI unit. Mine would hesitate in parking lots at low speed, felt like misfire, then one day wouldn't idle. Found my EGR valve was caked with carbon and sticking, I removed the vacuum line from the solenoid it goes to up to the vent port. Temporary fix until I got a new/lightly-used unit. Unit.

Well I did replace the EGR valve, and hose, and EGR solenoid. Van is actually running worse. After start up it will start chugging, or surging in idle. Unhook the vacuum from the egr and it clears up...you cansmell that its running rich...idk at this point other than take it in to a mechanic., I have thrown new parts at it and it appears to be getting worse.

Sounds like vacuum to me. Check all the ends of the smallest vacuum hoses to make sure they are snug not brittle or loose. They loosen up when they get hot. Clip a 1/4 inch off the ends and reinsert. Also don't know if you have the vacuum ball for the a/c, it could be that vacuum hose and check the vacuum hose at the recirculation door. Also there are some vacuum Tee unions under the hood in the center, check those too. Mine would stall under light load until hot and not hold idle when cold. Turned out it was a loose vacuum hose end at the Tee. Check any vacuum lines on the Cruise Control unit. My cc stopped surging after I found my vacuum leak. good luck!
