He has a link to his email address at the bottom of each page. I am going to drop him a short,respectful note letting him know how much I enjoyed the pics and stories and I would love to see more. If you dug the page it might not be a bad idea to do the same.
Seeing the pics here got me thinking, do any clubs run their vans in parades anymore? Get a few nice looking vans,maybe have one pull a trailer and have some people on it throwing candy to the kids? Cheap PR and a way to let people know we are still around. What do ya think?

Awesome pics and lots of good ideas ...but free candy to the kids part I don't know about..... You have a good point. This is not such a hot idea for the Kidnappers van club. For the rest of us if we throw it to em that should be ok. I would not paint a big sign on the side that said "Free Candy". It is sad, some kids did that as a joke to some other kid and now there are people out there that think real kidnappers do it that way  Yes I agree....and we know who the good guys are !....and you are on the right track to positive acknowledgment ..

For the rest of us maybe if we had the ladies and kids on the trailer trowing the candy,we could get around the whole "taking candy from a man in a van" thing. I would not paint a big sign on the side that said "Free Candy". I know a local club in KC, Three Trails Van Club, goes to the annual XMAS parade. I hope I can make it this year. I agree, more vanners should do this.

I got a reply from the guy who took the pics. He said he checked out vannin.com and will check it some more later. He posted my email with a link to vannin.com in his guestbook.

Ask some of the old members if thay rember coming to a van run north of Brampton ontario canada in april 78 and geting snowed on
