Every automatic transmission vehicle I have ever owned or driven would roll back on a hill if it was steep enough. It has to do with the fact that there is a fluid coupling between the motor and the transmission rather than a clutch.

New springs are nice. I think I need some for my Ford.

Thanks, I am certain these springs will do SO MUCH better than those old ones. These new ones are not only thicker, but there ends are better suited for my needs. Instead of all the leafs having tapered ends only the overload leaf and the main leaf and the main leafs backing leaf is roller, the others are square cut and don't have interliners so they are so much stiffer. I made a calculator and calculated the spring rate, it is off slightly but I used some fat people to do a test and put about 450-500 lbs on the rear end and it only dropped about 3/4" that is measuring from the bottom of the hitch to the ground. I am eventually going to put some struts on the back (load carrier shocks) to help. I already notice a difference, less body roll but the struts should help also.

Today I am replacing my torque converter, already have the transmission bolted to the block.

But I love these springs. I like that if I push the side of my van you know how they rock side to side, mine doesn't rock side to side by suspension but by the tire lol.

Yea the torque converter which I'm replacing today. I have a pretty high stall converter well above 2000 RPM.

Thanks for the springs, I think they look nice I love to lay under the vehicle and look at all the new parts. New suspension, new driveshaft, new transmission, new radiator.

If you go to stengel bros they have them for ford's.
