JUST BECAUSE.......
there was no Flamingo Fest this weekend for 2012--did not mean there was nothing to do. The Western New York Vans group help their second VANTASY and I pick up that it went very well...good for you guys! Some BAd Girls did attend and play for a change on this weekend and I am sure they had a VANtastic time! While we are talking about that--
THE Bad Girls from New York have decided that in 2013 we would like to do something a little different. We haven't really decided what kind of different, but thought it might be nice to change things up a little. With that being said, we will not be hosting Flamingo Fest in 2013 and do hope you will support one of the other eVANts that will most likely be happening that weekend...starting with Vantasy.
There was also a new eVANt in Ohio hosted by Knightmare Vanners in Ashland. I haven't seen anything posted from an attendee or host member yet, but it is still Sunday! Let's keep our eyes open!
A party at Blackbeard's house was also on the calendar this weekend complete with food and band. He has a lot of space and you can back to basic camp.
Forty-eight hours ago, I didn't think we were going anywhere this weekend, then Steve got a valve stem up his butt and we threw some stuff in the VAN in about ten minutes and we were off to Ultimate's eVANt in Michigan!!! I know!! Huggsie always loved going to play with these guys and while we both had our eVANts on the same date it was diffucult...but we had our someday this year and I am so glad we went. It was soooooooo wonderful to just relax and spend time with some family members we haven't been able to enjoy for some time. Bo and Pat did a wonderful job of looking out for us along with some of our Action Van family. We had a wonderful time--thanks to all of you! See, Bad Girls really do go everywhere! And, yes Lynn, we felt that amazing hugg you gave us on Saturday--we knew you were there!

If this weekend doesn't work out for you--last weekend was CITA's Birthday Bash in Montrose IL. One of the regular eVANts on our schedule every year. Much like a family reunion there, lots of the same faces each year an all a very tight VANNING bunch! And Super Summer in Conn is that same date usually too. Or next weekend is MASVA's eVANt near St. Louis. That is very central for lots of the middle section folks. We can take it out to the first week in August was VAN Slam in Ohio and then over Labor day it will be Remember Butler just a little north of Pittsburgh.

August holds something for everyone and I am sure there are
other eVANts which may be closer to you--so, get out there and be active in your VANNING efforts! With so many VANs and possible VANNERs out there to get to come and meet us, it will take each one of us to find them......and it will take each one of us to make sure all these GREAT little eVANts keep going by attending all that we can!

Well, we are holding Flamingo Fest near and dear to our hearts, and as we all know, a hiatus makes you come back stronger ! Missed you Suzie this weekend ! Saw the rest of the Bad Girls, except one who got lost in the shuffle...the search for Stu Baby is on !!

And if you cannot support what you love, maybe you need a hiatus !
