Vannin Capital (“Vannin”), the global dispute resolution funding business, is pleased to announce that Yasmin Mohammad, an Investment Director, has been named in Who’s Who Legal’s 2018 Future Leaders Arbitration report.
The designation honours lawyers, aged 45 or under, considered to be the future leaders of the international arbitration community. Yasmin was selected based on the independent recommendations of clients, general counsel and private practitioners worldwide.
As one of Vannin’s 11 experienced Investment Directors, Yasmin is based in Paris and oversees the group’s differentiated, robust investment selection model and the continued monitoring and management of investments. She joined Vannin in 2014 and has particular expertise in disputes involving the telecommunications, food & beverages and oil & gas industries based in Europe, China or the Middle East.
Prior to joining Vannin, Yasmin advised private and institutional and sovereign clients in Paris and Dubai at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in the context of international arbitration proceedings. She has also regularly opined on questions regarding conflict of laws, conflict of jurisdiction and sovereign immunity issues and has acted as counsel under various rules including ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, ICSID and CEPANI across numerous jurisdictions. Admitted to the New York bar, Yasmin is a graduate of Paris University Sorbonne and NYU Law School.
