Vannin Capital, the global expert in legal finance, has appointed Richard Hextall as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
An experienced executive and PLC Board Director, Richard joins Vannin from leading global insurer and reinsurer, MS Amlin, where he was Chief Finance and Operations Officer from 2012 to 2017.
Richard played a central role in growing MS Amlin from a London-focused business into an international group with operations spanning three continents, with his responsibilities encompassing group strategy, finance, investments and risk management. During his tenure, group annual revenue grew by nearly 700% and net tangible assets increased more than tenfold to £2.9 billion, demonstrating his ability to effectively manage global teams to drive profitability and strategic change throughout an international business.
Richard joined MS Amlin plc as Group Finance Director in 1999 from Deloitte & Touche. He has also served as a Non-Executive Director of The City of London Investment Trust plc and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Lloyd’s Market Association.
Dan Craddock, Chairman of Vannin, commented: “Richard is a hugely experienced financial services industry leader and I am delighted to welcome him to Vannin. The business is now firmly established as one of the world’s leading providers of capital solutions to the legal sector, with 2017 proving to be another milestone year.
