Vannin Capital supports Paris Arbitration Week 2018

Vannin Capital, the global expert in legal finance, is proud to be sponsoring the 2018 Paris Arbitration Week (“PAW”) from the 9 to 13 April in Paris.

Created by Paris, Home of Arbitration, the ICC and the French Arbitration Comity, this 5-day event is dedicated to the future of the international arbitration community in Paris featuring a rich programme of debates, lectures and roundtables alongside breakfasts, cocktails and evening entertainment.

Increasingly referred to as the Home of International Arbitration, Paris has been and remains one of the preferred seats of international arbitration proceedings by parties, arbitrators and counsels alike. This is also evidenced by the large community of international arbitration practitioners based in the city.

Speaking ahead of the event, Yasmin Mohammad of Vannin Capital and co-organiser of PAW commented: “Paris Arbitration Week is one of the largest gatherings of the international legal community in Europe and is a great opportunity to network with the leading legal practitioners not only in the city but also the world.”

She continued, “Law firms are faced with a growing number of challenges in the current marketplace and few are aware of the vast opportunities arbitration and litigation funding can open up for them. I look forward to discussing some of these issues with the conference delegates and welcoming them to our beautiful city.”

PAW presents a unique networking opportunity for Vannin Capital who will be hosting, speaking and sponsoring several events throughout the week, including a breakfast seminar, hosted by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer on Wednesday 11 April, where Yasmin will moderate a panel discussion on “Domestic Courts or ICSID Annulment Committees”. The following morning, Managing Director, Iain McKenny, will join speakers at the GAR Live Construction Disputes conference, with his presentation “Would construction arbitration benefit from value engineering, or does it need a full overhaul?”.
