Vannin Capital, the global expert in legal finance, today announces the launch of a German office in Bonn and establishment of a new dispute resolution funding business across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Theo Paeffgen - former CEO of FORIS AG, the first and longest-established litigation funder in the German-speaking world - has joined Vannin as Regional Managing Director for Continental Europe to lead the office and new affiliate, Vannin Capital GmbH.
Theo's appointment and the opening of the office is the latest step in Vannin Capital's expansion and growth worldwide. The Bonn office is the Vannin's ninth location globally and is the firm's second office in Continental Europe. It continues to strengthen its team and international footprint to support the strong demand for third party funding in new and existing markets.
Commenting on the launch and his appointment, Theo Paeffgen said: "Germany is a market with great potential and Bonn is well situated between the two largest finance cities in Germany, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, where all the domestic and international law firms have their headquarters. I very much look forward to helping Vannin Capital further expand into Europe, establishing and growing its presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland."
Richard Hextall, Chief Executive Officer of Vannin Capital, added: "Theo is the ideal appointment to launch our business in Germany. With his introduction of the monetisation of disputed claims to the German market as CEO of FORIS AG, he was a pioneer of the investment potential of dispute resolution funding in that market. His long-standing corporate finance related arbitration experience will position us well for German arbitration disputes."
